So What Is SIPREC?
Screen and call recording are a mandatory requirement in many fields and countries, mainly in call centers and banks. SIPREC (Session Initiation Protocol Recording) was established in order to provide with a call recording framework, allowing companies to meet legal requirements, such as MiFID II and PCI-DSS.
Technically, SIPREC (SIP Recording) is an open protocol, based on SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). It was created by SIP founders, for call recording companies. The protocol is subordinated to the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force), and it’s one of the most popular protocols in the word.
